Plastic goodies, it's possible!
Creating goodies with plastic is not a harmful solution! Learn all about the different plastics you can use!
How do you differentiate between good ∧ bad plastic in the making of your goodies?
80% of the manufactured plastic is reusable in our sorting bins! Plastic is not necessarily an environmentally harmful material. It is simply necessary to sort through them. The interest is to limit the production of plastics that generate CO2 & emissions, a major use of resources in manufacturing, as well as to reduce the amount of plastic waste that ends up in natural areas. On average, a recycled plastic generates 45% of CO2, 94% of water & 42% less energy than conventionalplastic.
PET Polyethylene terephthalate
PET plastic is fully recyclable and loses very little of its characteristics during recycling and can therefore be reused several times. PET is generally used for the manufacture of bottles. When it is recycled, it is called RPET (Recycled PET). We offer various promotional products in RPET such as bags&, light and modular objects.
HDPE High Density Polyethylene
HDPE plastic is opaque by nature, &ly resistant and waterproof. It is usually used in the food, medical and chemical sectors; for the manufacture of tanks, packaging etc. It is also recyclable in suitable bins. This material is little used in the object &the advertising goodies.
PVC Polyvinyl Chloride
PVC plastic is mainly manufactured in the industrial environment: pipes, floor coverings, window frames. This material is recyclable on an industrial scale only, which is not particularly troublesome as it is not the most commonly used plastic. This product is also little used as a promotional item.
LDPE PolyEthylene Low Density
LDPE plastic is flexible, impact resistant, waterproof. It is one of the most harmful materials for the environment because it is the most common &plastic it is not recyclable in our sorting bins. This plastic is used for garbage or supermarket bags for example. During the manufacture of goodies, this material is sometimes used to protect each goodie individually. We call on our customers to avoid individual packaging where possible or prefer a kraft bag to protect the advertising object if necessary.
PP plastic is used in the automotive and food industries, for example for yoghurt pots. It has recently been added to the yellow bin for areas where extended sorting instructions are applied (depending on the city...). This plastic is often used for the manufacture of gourds in the promotional object industry.
PS Expanded PolyStyrene
PS is a hard and brittle plastic. It is a very common plastic and not recyclable. This plastic is very often used to wedge a product in its packaging. Whenever possible, we suggest replacing the PS with cardboard to cushion your goodies for a more eco-designed communication.
